B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale Review: Oceanfront Stay with Old-School Charm
Looking for a beachfront hotel in Fort Lauderdale thatβs stylish, convenient, and budget-friendly? B Ocean Resort might just be your spot. This Fort Lauderdale oceanfront resort blends vintage Florida charm with modern-day convenience, all set on a private stretch of sand right along Fort Lauderdale Beach.
In this review, Iβll share what we loved, what could use a refresh, and why this oceanfront hotel is still one of the best values in the area.
Table of Contents

π΄ Location: Right on Fort Lauderdale Beach
You canβt beat the location. B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale is just 30 minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and sits directly on the beach.
We walked straight from our room to the sand in seconds β no busy streets to cross, no long boardwalks. Itβs also near the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi stop, which made exploring the city even easier.
ποΈ Oceanfront Rooms and Views
Our stay in room 3424, an oceanfront king suite, came with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Atlantic. Watching the sunrise from bed? Yes, please.
While the furnishings felt a little dated, the room was clean and comfortable. For the price point (especially during spring break!), we thought it was a great deal.
Simple travel tip: Book an oceanfront room β itβs worth the upgrade for the view alone.

πββοΈ Pools, Beach Access, and Amenities
B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale has two pools, and we loved both for different reasons.
- The beachfront infinity pool near the Salty Siren bar was lively and fun β great for families or a social swim.
- The rooftop pool on the second floor offered a peaceful retreat for reading or relaxing in the sun.
Guests also get complimentary bike rentals, which we used to cruise the beach area and nearby shops.
π΄ Food, Drinks, and Mermaid Shows
The resort has four restaurants and three bars. Our favorite? The Wreck Bar, hands down. The food was solid, the drinks were strong, and the Mermaid Burlesque Show was just the kind of quirky, fun experience that made our trip memorable.
The Naked Crab, located off the street entrance, was another hit β and clearly popular with tourists from nearby hotels too.
π Why We Recommend B Ocean Resort
Hereβs the bottom line: B Ocean Resort is one of the best Fort Lauderdale beachfront hotels for travelers looking for location, affordability, and a touch of retro charm.
Itβs not the most modern hotel in town, but thatβs part of the charm. Service was excellent, the beach setup made things easy, and the location made exploring Fort Lauderdale a breeze.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly oceanfront resort in Fort Lauderdale, B Ocean is a great pick for both couples and families.
π Final Thoughts For B Ocean Resort Review
From private beach access to one-of-a-kind entertainment and unbeatable ocean views, B Ocean Resort offers a lot of value without the high-end price tag.
It may not be brand-new, but itβs clean, well-located, and full of character. We’d stay again.
Happy travels!
